Jazz Monet is a dynamic force in the sports industry, combining an impressive academic background with a passion for storytelling and advocacy. A proud graduate of Vanderbilt University, Jazz earned her degree in Human and Organizational Development before continuing her education with an MBA, a Global Sports Management certification, and multiple fitness certifications.
As the co-founder of Austin-based Empirical Fitness, LLC, and founder and President of Violet Crown Roller Derby, Jazz has been at the forefront of empowering athletes and fostering community through sports. Her experience as a personal trainer, sports coach, and advocate for women and minorities in sports has shaped her unique perspective and informed her work.
In 2021, Jazz launched Bitches Love Sports, a podcast that delivers nuanced analysis, challenges conventional narratives, and highlights underrepresented voices in the sports world. In 2024, she joined the Dallas Cowboys podcast Girls Talk 'Boys Talk, bringing her wit, insight, and fresh perspective to one of the most storied franchises in football. She also began writing for USA Today's Cowboys Wire in 2024, bringing her insightful sports commentary to a text format.
Now, Jazz is returning to her roots, covering multiple sports and using her platform with NTX Radio to share compelling athlete stories and provide in-depth reporting. With a knack for blending education, entertainment, and empowerment, Jazz continues to redefine what it means to be a voice in the sports industry.
